shanghai and tokyoI'm back from my work trip to Shanghai and Tokyo - its amazing how different these cultures are from each other, and from north america.
I'm pretty jetlagged (got in at 6:30am and then came to work) because I'm trying to stay up as long as I can so I can get back to normal sleeping hours, so I'll have to blog about it more later...also more photos later, but here's my favorite one - two women at a wedding that was going on while we visited the Meiji Shrine.
![]() hola!i'm in tamarindo, heading off to either Jaco or this national park near quepos (cant remember the name)...its so nice and sunny here! i love it! yesterday i FINALLY learned how to surf, which was a way better improvement from my lackluster performance in Bali with Eric and Aneil. Anyway, off to go play on the beach! surprise!i'm in costa rica. i love travelling. where to go on vacation? It has been two years since I have taken a 'real vacation' since moving to Seattle. My last great romp was on my backpacking trip around south east asia before I started my full time job. I have taken some small trips here and there, and of course trips home to Toronto to see my family and friends, but no where out of the ordinary. There are three options I'm currently considering: Thailand: I've been there before but I loved it, and it was SUPER CHEAP (that's important!). My friend Yanda will be there in September so I could potentially meet up with him for a bit of my trip before wandering on my own for a couple weeks. Peru: I found out last week my friend Mel is taking a trip to south america for three months!!! I started reading up about South America and now I really want to go to Peru. I've never been to South America so I think it would be a pretty cool experience. Paris/London: In October my best friend Lisa will be going to Paris for a week. That coupled with my friend Pete moving to London, I'd have two places to crash on my trip and people to see. I think Paris is the 'comfortable' trip to take, Peru would be the 'adventure trip' and Thailand is the 'lazy, fun' trip....I don't know which one to pick! |
